Studio requirements
All students in the Kinetic Program are highly encouraged to take Ballet. Ballet provides each dancer wit the building blocks for all styles of dance. Dancers auditioning for the Elite Program must have 2 consecutive years of Ballet training leading into their acceptance into the program.
rehearsals & performance
Performing in the Spring Performance is mandatory for each student enrolled in our programs. If a student is unable to perform in our annual performance, our director must informed by December 1st. Rehearsals for an annual are mandatory for all students participating in our annual performance. Rehearsals and stage setting are important aspects of performance readiness and thus all students must be present.
tuition & registration fee
Payments for our programs are be made in 9 monthly installments or in 1 seasonal payment.
Seasonal tuition is broken up into the 9 monthly installments. Tuition payments can be made via auto-pay or in studio by cash/check/credit card
A $15 registration fee is due at the start of each season for each dancer $25 registration fee per family.
studio etiquette
All dancers are required to follow the expectations in the KDS student handbook. Expectations will be reviewed at the start of every season.

costumes
Dancer enrolled in our programs are required to purchase costumes for our annual performance. A costume deposit of $65 is due per class and is to be made by November 1st. The balance for costume costs will be made by costume pick up. If your dancer is unable to perform in our annual performance, please inform our director by December 1st in order to receive a refund for your costume deposit. Informing our director after this date will result in no refunds as costumes have already been ordered and purchased.
withdrawal policy
If your dancer needs to withdraw from our program for any reason there will be no refunds for the monthly payment prior to withdrawal. If withdrawal occurs prior to December 1st, dancer will receive refund for their costume deposit. If tuition has been paid in full, a refund will be issued for the cost of the remainder of season from the point of withdrawal. No refunds for absences.
Weather policy & Cancellations
KDS takes into account but does not follow the Norwood school cancellations. Emails and social media posts are sent out and posted if classes are cancelled due to snow or other weather related conditions. Make-up classes are available for all students. We do not offer refunds for weather cancellations. For a make-up class schedule, please feel free to contact us at your convenience or check your weather cancellation email for immediate options.
dress code
Ballet & Pointe
Black leotard, dance tights, ballet skirt optional. Ballet shoes or Pointe Shoes (sizing and fit must be approved by instructor). Hair in a tight and secure ballet bun.
Tap-Jazz-Contemporary-Lyrical-Modern-Competition Team Rehearsal-Acro
Black leotard, dance tights, black dance shorts optional, required shoes for dance genre: tap shoes (tap), jazz shoes (jazz), barefoot, food undiez, turning shoes (contemporary&lyrical), barefoot (modern/acro). Hair in tight and secure bun or ponytail.
Hip Hop
Show your style! Footwear: sneakers - as long as they are clean and for dance use only
Boys
Shirt, dance pants or shorts, required shoes for dance genre
